Can i unlock my extra cores though windows?

i have a phenom 2 X2 555 on a asrock board i was wondering if there was anyway i could unlock the cores through windows because my bios doesnt have coreunlocker

Hi.

What ASRock model do you have? Maybe with AOD but keep in mind that unlock cores isn't 100% sure or stable and in both cases, stable or not, is better do that from BIOS.

Your mobo isn't designed for overclock, so, the unlock cores is a little risky in that mobo because the NB and SB won't comes with a good cooler.

well its pretty good at oveclocking id say if ive got my cpu as is overclocked to 4.1ghz in windows and i can go higher but my os wont support anything higher than that
