Hi Everyone,

I know there are many people that have asked the same, but I need to be sure for my exact computer. I am thinking of buying new 27" monitor and want to know wether I should get 1080p or 1440p. I would use it for a lot of gaming (a large variety of games: KSP, Rust, The Witcher 3, PUBG, The Forest, etc.) And I want to know how well my laptop would handle it.

I have an Alienware 13 R2
Intel Core i7-6500U @ 2.50GHz
SSD: Samsung NVMe PM951 256 GB 500MB/s read and 100MB/s write(about to get another SSD with 500GB and twice as fast)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 2GB
16 GB RAM DDR3

Thanks in advance!

I saw a Youtube video just the other day showing what a GTX 960M runs like, it was suggested it's like a desktop 750Ti. So can a 750Ti run good on a 1440p monitor? Hell no.

as I don't have the card, going off its specs I doubt it would handle 1440p at high/max settings and if you cant run 1440p at max whats the point running 1440p, maybe some one with better experience will post a response

OK. Thank you all very much for your information.
I was thinking, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR, which runs at 1440p and ""165hz"", which won't be worth it now, but in future I'll be buying a powerful desktop pc, do you think my decision wise?? Should I wait? Is it worth buying now If I won't really be able to use it until at least a year? Any other recomendations on another mopnitor?

not worth buying until u get your pc, unless ur getting the pc soon. The money you was going to use to buy the screen save till you get your pc :D
