Cannot Find Working Drivers :/

My friend has a Toshiba laptop thats a few years old, he had some problems with it so we reinstalled windows, now the resolution is stuck at 1024x768 and its display is "Generic PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"... I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba's website that are said to be compatible with his laptop and nothing has changed we just finished updating windows completely thinking it was something wrong with the version we had. I'm looking for links to proper Drivers or at least a way to fix the resolution.

You need the video card/graphics driver not the monitor driver

With Toshiba all i can find is an AMD Display Driver on their website.

Download this Display Driver Uninstaller, run it in safe mode to get rid of any trace of the old driver:

I would but i dont exactally have a way to do that, He lives in Canada and im using Teamviewer to help him

I'll see if i can get him to do that though

You'll have to try to walk him through the steps.

Or tell him to upgrade to Windows 10 while it's still free, Radeon Legacy drivers install automatically through Windows Update on Windows 10

installed the wrong one, give me a few minutes his dl is slow

upon asking him to double check i found its an L745D but he seems unable to find the rest of the numbers

Can you give me a link to one thats 32 bit? i cant seem to find it on the website and since hes running only 4 gb ram its a 32 bit OS

yea, I thought so too since it does say it but when its almost done it cancels and says its 64 bit i shoulda put 64 bit on but i thought it would run a tad slower and he wouldnt need it since he isnt going to be adding more ram

So i found i need AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 Without Dotnet45 for windows 7 34bit but i cannot find a download
