Can't figure out how to turn off the touchpad delay on my Asus laptop

I've followed a billion tutorials at this point, but none of them have worked so far. Windows 10 doesn't show any delay settings in the touchpad category, my laptop doesn't seem to have any special software for it, editing the registry didn't work, etc.

Not sure what else there is. Help would be most appreciated; I really want to start gaming on this thing without having to plug in a mouse.

You might want to check for updates to your drivers, including the Synaptics drivers.

If this does not help, and an external mouse works fine, then it may well be a hardware issue.

The touchpad works fine, it's just the delay (when you press keys on the keyboard it turns off the touchpad for a few seconds) that I want to turn off. Synaptics isn't even on this laptop in general, which is how I tried to look for to turn it off in the first place.

I am not seeing a reason then for the delay.


Anyone else have any suggestions?
