Can't install Logitech Gaming Mouse software on Windows 7

Hello everyone,

I bought a Logitech G300 gaming mouse yesterday and downloaded the suitable gaming software for the model from Logitech website.
While installing it, I am getting a digital signature error, although the installation process gets completed.
After going through a forum on Logitech website, I found that it requires a Windows security update (KB3033929) to be installed before the gaming software installation.
But when I tried installing that Windows update, I am getting an error that says "this update is not applicable for your computer"

So now I'm stuck as how to install the gaming mouse software. Please help me!

PS: I have a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop (if that helps in any way).

Yeah, I made sure that I have an updated Win7.

Although, I don't seem to figure out what SP my Win7 is!
In My Computer's properties, it shows only Windows 7, doesn't mention the SP.
So I don't think I have the SP1.

Is that a problem?
