I'm running on Windows 10 (x64). I have a lenovo y50.. Now my integrated graphic card's (which is Intel HD 4600) version is 10.18.15.4256 which was last updated on 17-Jul-15 (Before Windows 10 coming out for me). So I go to Intel's driver support website and they have version 15.40.4.64.4256, and this version came out on 19-Aug-15. So It's clear that my laptop manufacture blocked generic drivers. So I tried to bypass that, I uninstalled Intel HD graphic card driver, restarted the computer, Installed the newest generic version manually, restarted it again, and just when i go check the driver version, what do i see? That's right, version 10.18.15.4256. It is frustrating, any one can tell me what can i do?

Whenever I do that, it just updates to the 10.18.15.4256 version. And I don't want that, I want the generic version.

The one from windows update is generic.

Ok, This is weird.. So I uninstalled the driver, and I restarted the computer. I only had my Nvidia driver in the display adapters. So as I was checking for windows updates (Note: windows was CHECKING for updates, not installing or downloading anything), The intel HD 4600 graphic driver pops up magically.

Then windows starts installing:

Then this happens:

And yes, it's still the same driver, nothing changed.
