Celeron N2830 or Celeron 1007U

Hello,

I have to choose between two very similar laptops. The only notable differences is the CPU which in one is the Celeron N2830 (Bay Trail-M) and the other is the Celeron 1007U (Ivy Bridge ULV).

I am leaning towards the Bay Trail because it consumes less and has actually a sightly bigger battery. I understand that the Ivy Bridge is a bit more powerful, but isn't Bay Trail good enough already? The laptop is mostly for office work.

What are you going to do with it? That is ultimately what decides what you need.

I personally would go with the slightly more powerful bay trail as you use it for office work. As it is also more up to date it should have a good battery life for the performance.
