Change AMD Processor to Intel i3/i5/i7 Processor ?

Hello friends , is it possible to change the AMD E2-1800, 1.7Ghz Processor to Intel i3/i5/i7 Processor ? If yes , how can I change it ? Is there any tips or methods ? Please do help me .

The Laptop's Specifications :
ASUS x45u ,
Processor : AMD E2-1800 , 1.7Ghz ,
RAM : 2GB .

You would need to totally rebuild a new computer, as none of what you have will work. Not even the ram as it's DDR 2.

Edit: Or buy, as you said laptop. Keep your laptop and build a desktop, they are customizable and become less obsolete than laptops.

I don't think you can. Because the current motherboard you're having is compatible only with AMD CPUs.If you wanna get an Intel,first change the motherboard.Then,you can change the CPU.And,seeing that you have the Asus X45U,I don't think the RAM is DDR2.It's DDR3 and you can reuse it.
Moreover,I think your CPU is soldered into the board,which means you can't upgrade it.You'll need to get a new mobo and CPU.
An,I don't think you can upgrade a Lappy motherboard,can you?

Actually,you can't upgrade a lappy motherboard.The motherboard which comes with the lap can only be replaced by one of the same motherboards,in case a failure occurs.There's no standard form factor for them I guess. So,even if you get a new CPU and Mobo,you can't upgrade it.Sorry I missed that point in my first comment,which though I updated.But the RAM is DDR3,and not DDR2.So,it can be used in some other lappy boards with DDR3 support.

I think your best bet is to build a new PC or buy a new laptop.
The average laptop has CPU soldered unless its a custom mad or ordered laptop ( which yours is not )
If you have a budget for the new laptop or PC , mention it , and forum members will suggest you a new PC config or laptop depending on preference.
P.S - If your looking to improve the general performance of your laptop like boot time , multitasking performance , you can add 2GB RAM to it and buy a 7mm thick Solid State Drive (SSD) of your choice. It will be a far more better upgrade then the CPU upgrade.

Since you have the freedom to swap anything up , like upgrade mobo and cpu or psu , hdd , chassis , dvd writer and what not ( which you cant do on your laptop) and be able to retain most stuff. Except the CPU and mobo , everything in my PC is changed ( in 9 months only ) But in laptops case , once you buy it , your stuck to a SSD and RAM. Nothing else. Feels as if your locked up. The DIY Freedom is why I like Custom made PC and am recommending you one
