Ive been looking for a Budget laptop for a family member for a couple days and i've narrowed it down to something with an I3 with a top end budget of £350 with a 15.6" screen ( if less it would be easier) I'vefound 2 laptops which are practicly the same just one has 1366×768 resolution and a 128gb ssd and the other has 500gb HDD and a 1080p display

I3 with 1080p 500GB HDD £329. http://

I3 with 720p 128gb SSD £299. http://

Help would be great and also different suggestions would be awesome. Thanks alot !

After replacing the panel in one of my laptops with a 1080p panel, I can't stand to look at 1366 resolution screens anymore. Most 1080p panels are usually much better color as well.

However, between a higher resolution screen and a SSD, even a tiny one, I'd pick the SSD without a doubt. So much more usable in everyday tasks.

Mostly, Emails, youtube and general daily use ( no gaming ) I was thinking of an I3 since it might be better in the long run compared to a Pentium. their eyes sight ins't the best so I was wondering if the 1366Res would be better than the 1080p on a 15.6" screen.

Also I forgot to add they probably won't be storing much on the laptop. so a 128gb SSD and the 1366 Res would be a better trade off than the HDD ?
