Cheap laptop for College?

Hey everyone my girlfriend is going to college in September and she wants a cheap laptop to store her work on. Her budget is £250 and all she will be using it for is programs like Microsoft Word etc and Photoshop. Can anyone recommend me one that is the best bang for £250 obviously the one that meets the highest price the better. Thankyou!

A little more info would help. What size screen? Is she going to be carrying it to every class or serve more as an in dorm laptop? You would want a small light one for daily class use but if you are leaving it in the dorms you can get away with a bigger one.

It's cool. I like being the answer. Well getting a good laptop for that is difficult.
