Chrome Shockwave Flash crash on HBO

Hi,

I'm using chrome to watch HBO through its website. Flash player is constantly crashing however in chrome. It usually runs about 30 min before the first crash. After that it crashes every other minute. It says that the flash player has crashed. It driving me crazy. I have googled a lot but now I'm giving up. The graphics drivers are the latest. Any ideas?

have you got latest version of chrome? I think flash is built into the client now

type chrome/settings/content into the address bar
look on Content tab
Select Allow sites to run Flash, and then click Done
to manage flash, click on the manage exceptions button on same page
On the Flash exceptions screen, enter the website domain and then choose Allow. When finished adding sites, click Done.

I've got better advice - - dump Chrome & install Firefox.

Flash Player was always crashing in Chrome when I last used it -- went back to Firefox, job done.
Chrome sucks in so many ways, not least it's relatively high RAM usage.

I have tried to enable flash in chrome. I have also tried edge, firefox and chrome. Nothing is working.

tried resetting chrome to defaults? it might be one of your add ons - worth a try anyway.
did you update flash for firefox? Its about only browser you have to manually do it for still. Its built into chrome and I am not sure if Edge uses it and if it does, it may use the IE version which is installed by windows update

search for answers and find this exact thread on toms guide, talk about confusing

try doing a clean boot and see if it changes anything - https/support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows - if it does, it means one of your start up programs is to blame. Need to add them slowly to figure it out.

Try doing an adware & Virus scan

see if making a new local user, make it admin, copy contents of other user's folders from c/user/username onto new user folders and see if same stuff happens

you will need to set up logins and everything in briswers

what antivirus do you use? maybe add HBO to white list?
