Chrome's content filter flawed?

Hello,

I use Chrome's built in content filter to filter out images and plug-ins in order to speed up my web surfing (I go by dial up out here in the boonies.) and for personal reasons as well.

But oddly enough an occasional image or ad will slip by and I really wonder why?

I've checked my exceptions list, some sites I will allow images for shopping purposes or because some websites just don't work without images. I see nothing fishy there so I can't figure out why the occasional ad will slip through.

Any thing I might be missing in the settings to make the security of my browsing much safer?

Thanks to anyone that helps.
