Cobian Backup 11 settings and hash

Hi,
I start using Cobian backup and I will appreciate your help:

I wish to backup files in drive D. If from some reason I reformat my windows drive C and installs it again, how can I backup the settings and tasks (including all the folders and files list to be backed up) and also make sure that when I restore these Cobian settings and list files, it will recognize that the backup did not change ?

When I backed backed-up files in drive D, Even Though I chose to verify the data (I checked options->check CRC...) and than backed it up, I have seen no indication that it validated my data. Is there any indication ?

I looked again and found in the log a line saying CRC was checked without an error.
