red / blue / green specs all over my tv screen it is a sony rear projection model kdf e55a20 what is wrong?? is it worth taking somewhere?

You need a new optical block - essentially the whole "projector." If it is more than three years from purchase, you may have few options. Sony has a running warranty extension for several LCOS sets which typically runs three years from purchase date.
