Combo jack headphones and notebook, but microphone on headphones dont work.

As the title says I have combo jack on notebook and on headphones too, I want to start using microphone on headphones but doesn't work for me. (in recording devices I got realtek default and my USB microphone, when I try to enable realtek one while the headphones are connected to jack it uses default built in ntb microphone) any ideas?
