compaq 6730s screen gone rouge (help me find the source of problem)

Hi, its my friends laptop that i'm taking care of, its screen has gone to shit, i will give you video of how it looks like and i'm hoping someone can help me indentify the problem (what part i need to buy off ebay) Never done laptop repairs, but i heard it can be just some cable, some converter or the screen itself...
In first video screen was working with a lot of interference. than it died almost completely and i couldn't find a position for it to work/show anything that makes sense, so i hooked it up to an external monitor . And a third video with differend desktop wallpaper, that one wasnt so good it looked like its somewhat working 😛

If your screen has gone rouge, either move out of Alaska or stop voting republicans lol (just kidding)

If it works on an external display but the screen itself isn't working its either a) Screen is toast, b) Screen connector is done

Both cases pretty much not worth it to fix.

Connectors are quite cheap 😛 If it's only that ill gladly order one off ebay. Hopefully someone with experience from fixing this things will take a look 😉

Be warned, disassembling a laptop is hell in itself. Especially with the connector ribbons.
