Hello everyone :) I just finished making my portfolio. And it has about 36 pages, so 36 different psd files. I went on to export them all as JPGs at level 6 medium quality. (the cumulative size of all pictures were about 45 mb. Then I used Photoshop again, to compile those pictures in a PDF format. The result was whopping 125mb PDF file.
Then I went on to compress it online at smallpdf, which returned compress file as 13mb 😉 Great!
Only problem is, I need the file to be less than 5mb anyhow :/ that's what the submission requirement is.
(I tried to re-compress that 13mb file again using online compressors, but none of the sites seem to be able to do that any further)
So please help me out. If you have a better and more efficient way to make a pdf all together then Im ready to compile it from scratch.
Thankyou for your help :)

How many photos are you allowed to submit? Seems with a 5mb limit, is a lot for 36 different pictures. Maybe pick some out that showcase your best work.

You wouldn't want to bring them jpg's back into photoshop though, find a pdf printer or online generator, but still, that's only going to give you a 45mb file if you want to retain the size and quality of your jpg's. Downsize your source material in the first place or it's DPI, etc.

36pics into 5 mb, is 120kb per image, do able at a small resolution though.

I was able to solve the issue and your answer did help a great deal 😀
I converted those psd pages to jpg again, but this time at level 1 quality. Now the cumulative size of jpg pages were 21mb. This time instead of using photoshop, I used an online jpg to pdf converter. It compiled the pdf at size of approx. 18mb.
Now I ran this this pdf file through the online pdf compressor that I used in the first place (smallpdf) and it pushed it to 5.8mb! 😀
yay! 800kb I can live with 😀

Thankyou for your help :)
