Computer Hooked to 55" LED HDTV

I was wondering how well hooking a computer up to a 55" LED HDTV would work, using a ATI HD 5870/6950 graphics card @ 1920x1080


This is the model i'm looking at buying.

Video Game Quality
Divx / DVD rip / 1080p / Bluray
Desktop Quality (Windows 7)

Alternative Uses:
PS2 & Xbox 360


Viewing range will be aprox 6-8 Feet away.
Will be using HDMI input.
