Okay so everytime I plug in any form of audio device into my motherboard (header or back panel) nothing shows up that it has connected. In audio options there it display that no devices have been plugged in. Audio diagnostics comes up with zero errors and says nothing has been plugged in (tried front and back panel plugs). I have been able to Bluetooth to speakers through my wireless card aswell and that worked fine. I know there is inbuilt audio as it is a feature of my motherboard and sound works through the HDMI out on the graphics card. Is there anyway to make it work without the HDMI and just use analog (in case when I have to use my monitor which uses DVI).

My motherboard is a EVGA 680i

Any extra information can be given on request. Thanks :)

You dont say which OS you are running but in windows you will need to set the audio card in question as the default soundcard first. At least if I understand your question correctly...
