Conect single sub speaker to amp

How to connect single bass sub woofer speaker to integrated amp that only has left and right inputs?

The woofer would have to connect to an output not an input. Is the subwoofer self powered? Does the integrated amp have a subwoofer output? Does the subwoofer have speaker level inputs?
You might get a useful answer if we knew what make and model integrated amp and subwoofer speaker you have.
