Confirmation that my LCD TV is done for and I'm better off buying a new one then trying to fix it

Based on what i read that's what i gathered and figured as much even before that, but I want confirmation from more knowledgeable people before I spend the money, no visible damage from the outside but this is what i get when i turn it on.

Looks like something struck lower left of screen. I cannot imagine wanting to even try taking that apart to fix even assuming you could find the replacement panel.

Uh, no, it can't. His display panel is actually cracked in the lower left corner and only a replacement of said panel will fix the problem.

Physical damage, unless is cosmetic, it's done for.
