first HDtv means it is capable of HD resolutions like 720 lines or 1080 lines horizontally. plasma t.v's and LCD tv are 2 different technologies. LCD's use liquid crystals to regulate a white light source. look up wikipedia for plasma and LCD's. plasma works i think by running an electric current through a certain gas which then emits electrons.

wide screen t.v's are just t.v;s which display a 16:10 or 16:9 formats instead of 4:3 formats which look square.

that is a very basic and perhaps inaccurate description but it should help a little. like i say look up wikipedia or google it.

not too sure. most likely just a high res projector at theback of a room or perhaps behind a white screen to alluminate it. i'm sure someone with more knowledge will pop up.
