Connecting 2 HDMI

I have a 50 ft HDMI cable running from my TV and it works fine when connected directly to my Direct tv Receiver. However When I ad a rocketfish HDMi connector to another 12ft wire so I can move the Direct TV receiver into my closet the signal gets all speckled.

Any ideas what I could use to amplify the signal. The issue is as soon as I add the adapter.

50 feet is a long run for HDMI, and not surprised that a little longer puts it over the edge. Yes, need a signal booster.
