Connecting a flat TV to a Soundstage

I do not seem to get any sound from my flat screen Sumsung TV when connected to the Panasonic soundstage. I wonder if we are using the right cable, red and white terminal is what we bought but no sound coming out of the Soundstage Panasonic SC-HTE200

Model number of TV would help. Most TVs don't have analog audio outputs. They usually have optical audio out or HDMI ARC (audio return channel). Check that the cable is connected to audio out not an audio input.
