connecting tv, soundbar, bluray and 5.1 amp. how?

How do I connect all this device together? By using soundbar as my centre and front speaker but still use the amp for the rears? Can this work?

yes IF either a.) your soundbar has a line in jack. or b.) a coax or optical in and your revier has a optical or coax out

Connect the bluray to the receiver with HDMI.
Connect the receiver HDMI out to the TV with HDMI.
Connect the TV audio out to the receiver.
You will need to use one of these:

so that you can take the front speaker output of the receiver and feed it to the analog input on the soundbar.
You will need to set the receiver front speakers to large so that bass will go to the soundbar subwoofer. You will also need to set center channel to none since the soundbar is 2 channel.
You will have to do your setup from the receiver to get the speakers levels correct. The volume control of the soundbar will affect this too.
