Constant Computor Crashes!

My laptop constantly crashes, its really bugging me, its a hp elitebook 8470p and it has a tendancy to crash all the time when its plugged in a running a game, due to the lowish battery life i can only play games for short spaces of time before plugging it in and waiting a while, its running windows 10 with a small hard drive of 110gb but i have a portable hard drive to go with it NOTE: it crashed even before i got a portable hard drive, i now use it on a monitor along with a gaming keyboard and mouse because the screen doesnt function properly, if someone could get this issue sorted out it would be much appreciated thank you so much

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Open Device Manager and uninstall the AMD graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http/support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do make sure that AMD is set as the default GPU then observe it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.

turns out i mustve deleted the wrong one, after a restart of my computor and a while of the monitor not working before springing to life made me realise i probably uninstalled the wrong amd thing
