Cursor Moves In Reverse -Youtube video runs backwards to start position

Helping a friebd with her laptop and the cursor always moved backwards when anything is typed. For example if I want to go to cnn.com i need to type moc.nnc.www This problem also causes the cursor to jump around. I am unable to restart because the mouse position in the submenu will not allow me to chage it, it disappears before I can select it. I hace connected a uSB keyboard and mouse to the laptop it works but still the problem occurs and by pressing end seems to stop the problem. With out the external keyboard and mouse the system simply will not function properly. I would so greatly appreciate and assistance or advice some can offer. Fred
