Question D5000 vs. T1i

I think I have read 10 comparisons between these two cameras, and I still can't come to a decision. They are roughly the same price and seem like the best deals for an entry-level DSLR (it will be my first foray into the field). Can anyone share any personal experience with these cameras? Pros/cons? Or just tell me outright which to buy, because I'm pulling my hair out here deliberating on them!

I have a T1i. It's awesome, but I regret getting it now because the T2i came out shortly after and now the T3i is out. If I were you I'd go for a Canon 60D. That camera has a semi-pro build and has great features that the rebel cameras have like 5 fps shooting, better ISO, more mega pixels. Better Video recording.
