Hi all,

Forgive my limited knowledge on the subject of audio stuff but here goes.

I'm looking for some sort of DAC or Amp to run both my PS4 and PC through the one output (speakers/headphones). I currently have both hooked up to the same monitor (PC Via VGA with audio running through headphones and the PS4 through HDMI(monitor is connected to speakers). Basically what I'm looking for is an audio station where I can connect the two to simply switch between PS4 and PC audio outputs so I don't have to keep connecting/disconnecting the speakers and headphones between the two systems.

I've done a little bit of research on DAC's but still not too sure on what to look for, or, if there even is such a thing that I'm looking for.

Again I apologise for the lack of knowledge and probable unclear explanation of what I'm after, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers! :)

A DAC isn't really what you want, the CODEC used by your motherboard will be fine.
If the monitor has an audio output for speakers, it likely has a 3.5mm audio input to go with the VGA input. If you connect your PC to this, then the output for the speakers will switch when you change between HDMI and VGA.
If the monitor has a second HDMI input, then you could use this for the PC instead of VGA and this should carry audio to the speakers as well.
