DAC audioengine d1 won't work

DAC audioengine d1 (24 bit) won't work since i bought my HP laptop (preowned=HP probook 6565b). Worked just find with my last laptop. The sound from my HP was so low in itself that a SRS audio was installed by my computer seller. Since then, the audio D1 doesn't work. It was connect with USB from my computer to Adam F5 RCA (active) speakers before. I don't know if this device is dead (power is in) or if it won't work with SRS?

Turn off or remove SRS and see if it works then. Try it on another laptop. Make sure that you have drivers installed for the D1 and it's selected as your audio device in the audio control panel.
