Delay in update installation process

Hi Everyone,
While updating a groupm of 7 servers i faced a delay in installation process for a server .1 out of 7 server took around 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the installation process while others took only 20 minutes.Can you please help me with suggestion that what could be the possible root cause for the delay?

Was the server online, and in use by clients ?
Because if it was as well as the install or updates it would of been dealing with user requests.

The user requests would of taken up cpu time so the installation would be slower if the server was online to clients.

The Server was not used by any of the client,rather it was in a maintenance window.Hence no other request was given manually to it. Very important information is that the server is a SQL-Cluster High configured server.
