Deleting corruped and unreadable files on mp3 player

Please help!! is there any solution? my mp3 player was working normally, than i got some files got corrupted, and I just left them there, cos I couldnt delete them. Now when connected to the computer, my mp3 blocks my computer, and it says that directory of file is corrupted, and it doesnt even open anymore on my computer... What should I do?

There may be an option within the player for deleting files. If not your only hope may be to use its inbuilt formatting facility -- but this will wipe all the music.


Don't try formatting the player using the computer unless this is mentioned in the manual as safe.
