Just got a New Hard Disk for the Laptop and when i try to install window 7 on it says No Drives ware found? So is there something i can download on a USB Flash drive

Hello... if your BIO's SATA is set for AHCI then you might need a driver installed first for a WINDOW 7 install... when asked by the OS install media. looking here http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-1545/drivers it doesn't seem clear which one would be the right one... Do you have ACHI/IDE options in your BIO's SATA controller screen?
If you can set it to IDE mode (save&exit)... you won't need to pre-install a driver to communicate to the Drive. B /

If the laptop came with WIN8 or above , that might explain why there is no AHCI pre-install driver listed for it. B /
