Solved! Dell inspiron1545 screen black

Hi all,

First of all I'm new here.
Now i have a laptop, Dell Inspiron 1545. I got it from my brother and its the first laptop that i own.
The problem i have with this Dell is that it wont boot and my screen stays black.

When i push the start button the following happens:

- indicator in front lights up
- fan starts spinning for a few seconds (3-5 sec)

External monitor doesnt work (tried several monitors)

Can anyone tell me how to get this laptop to work?

I tested LCD by pressing D+ power button found LCD ok.

Any help is being appreciated!

Well, if the laptop is actually working (fan sounds, lights, etc.) but the display won't. Either the attached display or an external one, then I would think that the problem is the graphics card/GPU.
