Dell Laptop switch on issue

I have a DELL 5578 2-in-1 laptop with internal battery. Since few months I am facing a weird issue related to power button.

I have kept a log of issue since last two months and figured out that whenever I recharge the laptop and shut it down, it wouldn't turn on unless I press the power button for more than 10 seconds and release and then press the button again. Over 90% this would turn on the laptop and in only 10% case I would have to press the button couple of more times.

This is really pain in the neck each time and face the issue on each recharge.

Please suggest some permanent solution. I suspect it is because of static charge, but each time removing the static charge is very annoying.

Anyone can suggest a permanent solution?

Yes it a a brand new laptop purchased 5 months ago. Problem started few months ago. Laptop was purchased from Canada and shipped overseas. It means I can't claim any local warranty. I have shown to a technician but he couldn't figure any solution. The problem appears only after recharging the laptop.

What exactly do you mean after recharging the laptop? Do you use it on battery only and then charge it up again? Does it work OK on wall power? What if it's half charge and then you turn it off and back on, that works OK?

I don't think you will get far with this issue without a hardware swap, possibly the motherboard.

I mean whenever I connect a charger with laptop, it somehow induces static charge in the laptop. The laptop has a plastic body and seems like this charge stays in after connecting it to the wall power for some time. If I shut down the computer after recharging the battery from wall power, it wouldn't turn on because of this charge. In order to remove this charge, I had to press the power button many times or more than 10 seconds. After this operation it turns on, util I shut down it after connecting to wall power. Please note that the wall power has no ground. But the same laptop worked without any issue for three months.

No ground on wall power is bad, most laptops have a plastic body and are fine with turning on and off. I would say the poor power setup in the house is causing the system not to work properly, probably some damage to the motherboard or charging port if it's happening with it unplugged.
