Hi,

I'm planning to buy a Dell precision 5510. Where I live it come standard with 8gb of ram and I need 16gb. But the price for the Dell upgrade is almost the same as the price of a 32gb kit from corsair, crucial or kingston.

Shoud I just buy it with 8gb and upgrade afterwards. Or are there any good reasons for paying extra for the Dell upgrade?

Best regards

I always buy the minimum specs on memory and drives in my Dell laptops, and then just replace with a good 16GB or 32 GB kit and a large SSD. They charge way too much for those upgrades in my humble opinion.
