Dell Vostro: Memory Issue

I have a Dell Vostro 3700. According to specifications the memory speed should read 1333MHz but the BIOS says 1066MHz. Could I change the value or is this because the memory chip is of an inferior quality ?

Noticed this note on Latitudes sales page - it might apply to the Vostros as well.


Please note: Latitude E6510 systems come standard with 1333MHz memory. However, system memory will operate at 1066MHz unless configured with i7-720QM or greater quad core processors.
