Dell xps 13 vs dell inspiron 13?

So I am choosing a laptop for my first year of game development in college. I need a laptop but won't be using it for game development at all. We aren't allowed to bring laptops into the game dev lab, and I have a gaming desktop.

My issue is that the dell xps 13 and inspiron 13 are very similar in price, with the xps being just slightly more expensive, but the inspiron 13 seems quite a bit better. Just wondering if anyone had a preference between the two, or some clear answer as to which I should get (they're both the same price right now at costco)

If you take a look at the 2015 Laptop review link in my sig you will see the Dell XPS13 seemed to get the best rating so far.

Apart from the cpu being better in the inspiron everything is the same. I personally would just get whatever is the cheapest as the performance should be very similar.
