Dell xps 15 4k display option vs full hd

Basically I would like to know if the 4k display on the new line of dell xps 15s is worth it over the full hd option.To be more specific is there a discernible difference between the 4k display on a laptop over the full hd option or is it just money down the drain?

At that small, I don't see much value in it. Consider the extra GPU power needed, means more power drain. Unless you are editing 4K content on the go, I think the icons would be insanely small, and anytime you tried to play a game and had to drop to 1080p, then you'd get scaling issues.
