Yesterday I received my brand new XPS 15 9560 with the i7 7700hq and 1080p screen. After some monitoring and testing I noticed the CPU temperatures were odd. When browsing the web and watching some youtube the CPU cores are usually around 55 ºC, but often jump up to 73ºC very shortly. The whole CPU package is stable around 70ºC.
When gaming the fans spin up and the temperatures get around 88ºC. Does anyone with an XPS have similar results, and are these temperatures acceptable? I'd prefer not to replace the thermal paste due to warranty and stuff.
