I've bought a new DELL xps 1530 with a 250GB hard disk.
I want to resize this big disk so that I can have 2 "partitions": one for windows vista and installing apps , with say 50GB and the other with about 200G, for storing other files, and not to loose them in the event of a Windows reinstall.
I used Windows Vista Disk Administrator to squeeze the C: partition and now it is 120GB in size , and there are 100GB of free space.
Then, using this Windows Vista Disk Administrator and positioning the mouse in the grey zone (unoccupied disk) I tried to create a new partition but Windows send me an error telling that there was no space available (but I recently freed about 100GB !!!!)
I saw that in this notebook there are other 3 small partitions, dedicated to Recovery, Utils and so on.
¿ There is some limit in the number of partitions a PC can have ?
Please, could anyone help me.
Thanks a lot.
