Dell XPS M1530 No longer powers on...

Everything was fine, then when I would plug in a USB peripheral into a USB port, it shuts down. I tried it several times and now the laptop will not turn on at all. I have searched on google but there is not an issue like mine. Unlike others I do not even get lights or any hard drive noises.

Is the motherboard fried? I really hope not...

If you disconnect everything will it still not give a kick?
Have you left it on the charger for some time?

The battery is dead but it was working even though it was dead. It no longer turns on even with the battery out and I have tried multiple outlets and power adapters that are similar to what the laptop requires. I get no response from it.

There still might be a way..if I disassemble it and reassemble it, who knows. I just bought this from a family member and I would rather not tell them that it's already possibly toast. ..

You can always try. Butto be honest I think it's a long shot.
