Dell xps troubleshooting

Hello,
I've a Dell XPS and the symbols that control the disk player, all volume controls and the wireless router backlight has failed, the machine works fine but without these touch pads being illuminated, have I accidentally turned them off or is there something more serious going on

well when you say failed what do you mean? or you not sure and you're asking us? then don't be using words like failed, that typically means a hardware malfunction.

So, you might be having the following issues:
1. hardware failure (LED burn out, wiring damaged, motherboard connection bad)
2. drivers for those lighting is not installed
