I have dell xps l502 haven't had any issues until now all of sudden went to load dvd wouldn't read it. I put different disc in it thinking was disc? But reads audio discs no issues, but when look under device manager or whatever it's showing no drivers installed but doesn't give name of device either just shows 2 multimedia devices w/o drivers! So when tell Windows to grab automatically it keeps telling me...no go. Dell diagnostics told me was geo force etc etc so that means what? laptop isn't any longer recognizing it period correct? Does it mean it's basically crashed and need to replace? What should I do next?

Solution
Hi,

Do a clean install of the graphics card driver if it's missing.
- Open Device Manager again then uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from the link below, just use the auto detect and install feature.
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test if it will work or not.

If your need more drivers for your laptop here's the link where you get them.
