I'm trying to find out why the LED light on my new phone doesn't do anything. My old FLIP phone used to alert me if I had an unread text or voice mail, but the LED doesn't light up for that - or even to tell me if the battery is charged yet or not.

LG Tribute. I've done some research and apparently all you can make it do is give you a repeating chime every two minutes. Having it light up an LED makes too much sense. It has an LED, but it never lights up for anything, so I don't know why they put it on there. It also doesn't light up to tell me it's charging, or that the charging is complete. My old flip phone for $10 used to have that lovely feature, but apparently that's too much to ask on a new phone. I mean, why would anyone want to know when it's done charging without having to hit the on button?
