Noticed this lately that my DirecTivo series 2 is not recording more
than a few shows in my Season Pass.
I'm Alan Partridge (BBCA) was one. Last nights SNL (NBCE) was another.
Another thread mentioned Dr Who not recording for someone.
Any idea what might be going on? No conflicting recording was made at
either of those times. I think more than a few shows are slipping
through the cracks.

If the problem is that it is not storing more than 5 episodes for
a single season pass, then you need to double-check the season pass
to see what the Keep At Most setting is.

Otherwise, press TiVo + 2 + Select to see the Recording History,
where it will tell you why the show was not recorded.

What reason does your TiVo give for not recording them?

A reason would have given me a place to start troubleshoooting.
No reason, just does not record. Even double-checked last night's SNL
after it had been on for an hour or so. Tivo completely missed it even
though it had been listed to be recorded.

The first place to start troubleshooting is to ask your TiVo what
was the reason for not recording a specific episode.

That's what "Recording History" is for.

If you set it up to save no more than 3 recordings but also
set it to "Save until I delete", then after three recordings
are made and are sitting there, no other recordings will be
made for that program. Check your recording settings for the
season passes in question and also check the recording history
for why they weren't recorded.

Recording history solved the problem for SNL, but the Alan Partridge is
a mystery. Might have more to do with BBCA.
