Dish + soundbar = no fun

I recently purchased a HW-J550 brand new from bestbuy. I am actively tryon to get my dish remote to connect to it so I can control the volume with my tv remote. Followed all the steps provided by dish and still no luck. Is there anyone out there that can help me haha.

The DISH remote probably doesn't have any codes for soundbars.
Did you try all the Samsung TV codes that the DISH remote has?
You could use a universal remote such as a Logitech Harmony to control all you equipment with one remote.
