I need help from the experts. My answers to this thread need to be people who have TVs larger than 42'' as I do not have access to a TV. I've been ripping movies with both DIVX's converter and AUTOGK.
Assuming we keep the filesize the same and we use both apps to rip the same movie, which program results in a better quality movie? It's hard to tell sitting in front of a 17'' notebook and I want my movies to look good on a large tv.
I spose I should also ask is there a file size I should go for when ripping a movie to ensure it does look good on a large tv screen?

it depends on a few things. what type of tv and resolutions are we talking about? ideally you want to shrink the file size as little as possible
