I need a 3.5mm audio cable extension and found a $5 one and was wondering if it would reduce my audio quality by a noticeable amount? My current headphones are the Beyerdynamic dt990 pro's.

Thanks in advance :D

People do not spend money on good headphone like the DT 990s just to hope they don't notice the difference. If that's your suggestion, he might as well go out and buy a cheap set with a longer cable.

Nobody said don't buy good headphones..but to say that an extension is going to be noticeable because it is there is laughable.

Unless it's really, long and un shielded so as to pick up some crazy EMF, or there is an intermittent connection..no one is really going to notice.

Might as well recommend the latest "oxygen free magnetically polarized copper, and covered in baby seal skin insulation" premium quality cables. This stuff is crap for the most part, aside from an occasional bad cable.
