Does the unibody cable work in my macbook

My MacBook is a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13" and I need to replace the HDD cable/ IR sensor.

does the item above work for my laptop? the description says it is for 2009 and 2010. Some people say it works with their 2012 and 2011. So would it actually work for my Mid 2012 MacBook 13"?
